Job Description Regional IT Support Specialist II Reports To: Solutions Helpdesk Manager

Responsibilities

  • Implement hardware and support software applications on network peripherals, Microsoft servers, and PC/Mac
  • Technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
  • Communication with clients as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
  • MS Windows OS / Mac OS printing experience and general support
  • Print driver setup / best practices
  • Documentation of work performed in tickets and configuration creation in our PSA and other documentation systems
  • Timely communication with coworkers on MS Teams and Outlook Job Related Dimensions Position Description -Strong understanding of Servers, PC/Mac/ Firewalls, Switches, and Routers function on a network
  • Track record of integrity and trustworthiness with confidential/sensitive information.
  • Very strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Takes ownership of job responsibilities with personal pride and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision required.
  • Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Ability to work within the timeframe of standard policies and procedures and not miss deadlines/due dates.
  • Excellent ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem-solve in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong professionalism, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Regular and reliable attendance. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associates Degree / Bachelors Degree.
  • 2-4 Years in the IT field or work-related experience.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record is a must.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must be capable of working independently.
  • Ability to handle high stressful situations and thrive under pressure.
  • Ability to take constructive feedback from Management, or Peers.
  • Willingness to learn new processes/practices, apply them and train others. Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to talk on the phone and work with various computer tools and applications
