Registered Nurse - Psychiatric UnitHCA Houston Healthcare Tomballis a350-bedoffering a wide variety of services, including emergency care, labor and delivery, a level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), general surgery, orthopedics, and robotic surgery. The hospital's 150-acre campus also features The Tomball Regional Orthopedic Center, The Women's Center, Texas Sports Medicine Center, and The Heart and Vascular Center.HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.
What you will do in the role:The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse.
Cares for all patients of all ages.
Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement.
Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers.
Promotes a supportive, team-work oriented environment.
Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of Tomball Regional Medical Center.
What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current licensure with the TX Board of Nursing.
American Red Cross or America Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification//is required.
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification//is required.
Psychiatric Nursing experience preferred.
CPI required within 90 days of hire.
