Work environment: The Siratt's Women's Center at Texas Health Hurst Euless Bedford (HEB) Hospital has a PRN III opportunity for an experienced RN in the L&D Unit.

Work hours: PRN III, 72 hours a month, 2 weekend shifts/month, Night shift, 6:45 pm – 7:15 am -Self-scheduling

9 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, 4 bed Triage and OB ED unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month

Level III NICU

Level III Maternal Designation and Magnet Designated

PRN Rate $41.00 per hour (based on relevant experience)

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire

BCLS – upon hire – expiration date greater than 3 months preferred

ACLS – upon hire

NRP – upon hire

2 Years of experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required

Two (2) years of RN experience in Labor and Delivery strongly preferred

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN willDemonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems

Position ResponsibilitiesDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process assesses the patient plans the care of the patient intervenes as appropriate evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
