RHEL System Administrator with heavy experience in Python, Ansible, Shell scripting

Location: 100% Remote

Type: W2

Shift:
This position will have shift work Shift Work Early Morning and Weekends Tuesday to Saturday shift

Key Experience and Strong Knowledge:

- Scripting language such as Python, shell, and Ansible.

- Red Hat Satellite, RHEV-M.

- Hands-on knowledge of Logical Volume Manager (LVM).

- Demonstrated understanding of system security best practices.

- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

- System Administrators provide operational production support in an environment where change control, incident management, and compliance policies and procedures are enforced. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to understand complex application flows that include middleware, operating systems, and databases while performing troubleshooting and analysis.

- System Administrators act as technical resources for major projects and will assist with the implementation of code deployments and infrastructure components. Working with the Operations Support Team requires strong communications and customer service skills. The successful candidate will be working in a mission critical environment with a team of senior administrators. While you will get guidance from peers it will be encouraged to show the ability to work independently and showing the willingness to accept new technical challenges.

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or at least 5+ yrs experience of RedHat administration and troubleshooting.

- Scripting language such as Python, Shell, and Ansible.

- Red Hat Satellite, RHEV-M.

- Hands-on knowledge of Logical Volume Manager (LVM).

- Demonstrated understanding of system security best practices.

- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

- Deploy and administer high availability and contingency solutions (On -site failover, clustering, and replication to off-site systems).

- The successful candidate would be part of a team that provides 24x7 support.

- Support applications deployments and testing for both weekday and weekend code deployments.

- Support application problem resolution.

- Administer enterprise monitoring of server performance, availability, and security.

- Knowledge of system backup and recovery solutions.

- Provide administration support for middleware such as WebSphere, MQ, and JBOSS on servers that reside on servers.

- Interact with InfoSec and Audit teams to ensure that the systems are properly maintained, administered, secured solutions if needed.

- Support QA, Production, and contingency tests.

- Participate and provide technical expertise/guidance business teams about available technical solutions.

DESIRABLE Working Knowledge:

- Working knowledge of IBM WebSphere administration.

- Working knowledge of IBM MQ administration.

DESIRABLE Knowledge:

- Knowledge of Oracle 12c/19c database.

- Knowledge of JBOSS.

- Knowledge of Networking and SAN principles.

- Knowledge of ServiceNow.

- Experience working in an Agile environment.

- Knowledge of Splunk.

- AWS Cloud Services.
