Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Risk Adjustment Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of DSNP (Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan) and extensive experience with eClinicalWorks. Since this is a remote position, the candidate should possess superior communication skills and the capability to accomplish tasks independently while working in a dispersed team environment. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately review and code patient records for specific chronic disease states and conditions.Responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret patients' medical records and assign accurate codes for each diagnosis and procedure using ICD-10-CM and CPT coding standards.

Utilize eClinicalWorks to manage and access patient records efficiently.

Review and track DSNP members' health conditions to ensure accurate risk scoring.

Work closely with healthcare providers to obtain required documentation for supporting appropriate coding.

Ensure all codes are up to current regulations and within compliance standards.

Conduct chart audits for coding accuracy and provide feedback or educational support for continuous quality improvement.

Stay informed about industry updates and maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminologies and diseases conditions.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Must hold a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC), or equivalent certification.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in risk adjustment coding, preferably with DSNP experience.

Proficiency in eClinicalWorks and understanding of how it applies to coding and patient data management.

Comprehensive understanding of medical terminologies, pharmacology, anatomy, and physiology.

Strong knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations, including HIPAA and CMS Risk Adjustment policies.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.

Experience working remotely, self-disciplined, and demonstrably efficient in a remote environment.
