POSITION SUMMARY:

The PDSN supports high quality, patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a new specialty. The PDSN supports multiple units on off-shifts and some weekends.The PDSN provides guidance and education on the hospital’s standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements. |

Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Education and Training Experience Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Two years of experience Registered Nurse required
- One year of experience in leadership role
- One year of experience as Preceptor
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- RN with current licensure or RN with temporary permit to practice from the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
- BCLS certification
- ACLS certification
