The QA Specialist will be responsible for: identifying trends for payments and denials with managed care companies; reviewing WQ’s for solutions and EPIC scrubs required for improved collections and payments; communicating and updating the Revenue Cycle Team with payor policies regarding payment, coding requirements and billing guidelines pertaining to Neurosciences procedure codes; and more.Location: 6400 Fannin Street, Houston, Texas 77030Once you join us you wont want to leave. Position Summary:Under the direction of the Associate Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management, the Revenue Cycle Quality Specialist will perform data collection, detailed analysis, reporting, coordination of projects and assist in implementing strategies that will improve the quality of the revenue cycle performance. This position will be responsible for assisting management to design procedural training sessions and deliver them.Position Key Accountabilities:

In conjunction with A/R Operations leadership, reviews and redesigns the audit process and associated tools to ensure the appropriate activities are being monitored, measured and reported.

Performs process, operational and system workflow reviews to ensure work processes are efficient and effective. In addition, identifies opportunities for improvement and establishes recommendations for training and education in an effort to optimize workflow, quality and performance.

Performs targeted quality reviews and identifies trends and patterns; compiles audit findings, analyzes and reports the results.

In coordination with managers, develops and maintains performance dashboards and reporting for A/R operation KPI’s.

Performs root cause analysis to identify system issues that may contribute to A/R operations deficiencies.

Participates in developing and launching billing improvement initiatives based on areas of opportunity identified through quality audits and other assessments.

Regularly provides employee productivity, work queue volumes and denial statistics reporting and analysis.

Participates in other quality initiatives as requested.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey a positive and professional image. Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. Strong customer service and relationship management skills. Knowledge of ICD 10, CPT coding and medical terminology. Proficiency with Microsoft products and database tools required.
