RF Design Engineer

Your future teams are developing Nokia 3GPP mainstream radio technology products and solutions including cross-technology responsibility (Multi Radio Access Technology). Your unit’s main priorities are flawless execution of System programs including Network Management & Optimization and attached services.

• Design, simulate, test, and document passive RF frontend filters for Nokia FDD and TDD radios.
• Create a filter design that is reliable, manufacturable, low cost, and cutting edge for filters. This filter should enable Nokia to have a technical and cost advantage in the field to wow the customer and increase sales.
• Support this filter from product feasibility study to prototyping to certification to factory introduction and to successful release to the field/customer.
• Collaborate with filter designers at other Nokia locations and share ideas. Will work with Antenna designers to combine and simply the design of the two together. Candidate will also be able to contribute to antenna design as well.
• Provide input for ideas on new filter designs for Nokia filter roadmap for advancing the technology of RF filters

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering in the field of RF or an equal academic achievement
• Minimum of 8 years of practical RF experience with at least 5 years on RF filter design.
• Must be proficient with HFSS and/or CST in the area of RF filter design.
• Strong knowledge of passive RF filter design for 5G cellular base stations.
• Experience and knowledge of manufacturing issues and problems with making filters at high volume.
• Good communication and language skills – in both written and spoken English to support your daily work in our international and multicultural environment.
