Position: RHEL, HP-UX, SUSE Linux Administrator Technical Skills:- RHEL, HP-UX, SUSE Linux L3 level administration experience (Mandatory) with experience working on bare metal instances
- L3 experience in Network administration
- Experience in configuring SAN storage
- Experience in OS upgrade, SAN Migration activities, Patching activities.
- L3 administration skills in LVM and VxVM and clusters – RedHat and SuSe Cluster and Service guard.
- Experience in HPE DL/BL/Superdome (SD Flex) systems Hardware Troubleshooting
- Scripting (bash/perl/python) experience
- Monitor/troubleshoot system performance/availability issues
- Disk Space Management
- OS configurations and kernel tuning.
- Configure Network Card and VLAN
- Hardware Troubleshooting and create vendor tickets
- Check for new OS security patches and patch installations
- Check for new OS versions and perform OS upgrade activities.
- Expand physical blade capacity
- Disk Space Management
- OS Shutdown/Startup/Reboot
- Expand physical blade capacity
- Adding / Removing a node in a cluster
- Assigning a preferred Node
- Configuring Fail over
- Setting group Fail over Policy
- Testing Fail over policy
- Add, remove, modify user accounts
- File Permissions and Access
- Configuring NTP
- Perform OS Backups ( As per customer design and setup)
- Server builds and Decommissioning
- Health status monitoring of Power supply/fans/Over Temperature of HPE Blades
- Monitor health status of Superdome Complex (Blades, IOX, Power supply, Fans, Fabric, GPSM, Interconnects)
- Health status monitoring of CPU/MEM/Disk drive failures
- Add, remove, change ILO/OneView user accounts
- iLO IP address change
- Check Complex/OA/GPSM/XFM/Blade/IOX/Partition Status
- Restart/Failover Onboard Administrator (OA)
- Power On/Off/Restart Interconnects
- Create/Modify/Remove nPartitions
- Create/Boot/Modify/Reset/Remove vPartitions
- Check for new firmware revisions and implement upgrades
- Incident management and coordination with Break fix support teams
- Configure UEFI system settings
- Configure HPE Smart Array controller configuration using HPE SSA
- Ability to multitask in Outage calls, implement changes
- Good Understanding about Change Management and Incident Management
- ITIL Certified (Desirable)
- Ticketing tool knowledge(preferred)
- Effective collaboration and team player
- logical thinking to come up with RCA
- Somebody with 6 to 8 years of RHEL, HPUX, SUSE Linux experience with an engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
