Texas Health Plano is a recipient of the Disease Specific Care Certifications from the Joint Commission in Chest Pain, Joint Replacement – Hip and Joint Replacement – Knee and an Advanced Certification as a Primary Stroke Center.Position QualificationsAssociate's Degree Nursing required; Bachelors Science Nursing (BSN) completion within two years of earliest start date in a Texas Health RN role is required.

1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program (required)

BSN (Preferred)

2 years of Experience as a clinical nurse in a GI lab setting (Preferred)

RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required)

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (Required)

Position Responsibilities A GI Lab Registered Nurse with Texas Health will respond to others’ priorities regarding safety, physical, psychological and social needs.In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Registered Nurse will Complete regular assessments and maintenance of comfort Have knowledge of basic physiology and pathophysiology Have knowledge of human emotions during health and illness Have knowledge of human development across the life span Have knowledge of pain and suffering, pain interventions and pain comfort/theories.
