We are working robotic application for terrestrial and space environment that push the state-of-the-art robotic technology and help shape the habitation and logistics on Moon and Mars. Our goal is to collaborate with our partners at NASA to provide reliable, flexible, and innovative solutions for dexterous manipulation in complex scenarios with multiple distinct robotic platforms.In this position you will be involved with the development, integration and testing of manipulation, safety, and control algorithms in space and terrestrial applications on several distinct robotics platforms. Products will include custom software for NASA robotics applications with focus on the development of robotic manipulation capabilities on dynamic dexterous testbeds. Required:
- Demonstrated mastery in developing robotics applications using C and Python in a Linux OS.
- Proficiency developing applications using ROS.
- Excellence in understanding software system design.
- Bachelor or advanced degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Computer Science or other robotics-related field.
- Must be comfortable working in a high-pace, small-team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Graduate level research experience with robotics and/or computer science in the areas of motion planning, perception, and/or image processing.
- Experience working in a modern software development environment including use of continuous integration and unit testing
- Experience with ROS2
- Experience integrating and testing on physical robotics platforms
- Experience with EtherCAT or other communication fieldbuses.
- Experience remote or network latency-laden software systems.
- ROS Moveit interface experience
- ROS2 control
