DescriptionLeidos' Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC) has an opening for a Commercial LEO Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) Integrator in Houston, Texas at NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC).The Commercial LEO Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) Integrator will support the Commercial LEO Development Program (CLDP) Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) Office. This role is responsible for ensuring S&MA requirements are inserted into the CLDP requirement, Data Requirements Documents (DRDs), operations, and hazard documentation which drive safety and crew survivability products.The S&MA Integrator will work closely with a NASA lead and will participate in designated meetings and working groups to monitor the incorporation of S&MA requirements into vehicle design and development. The S&MA Integrator will obtain and maintain technical knowledge while engaging and collaborating with SMEs. This position will monitor how well S&MA requirements are met, ensure issues of unmet requirements are documented, communicate the status of these issues to the S&MA team, and prepare materials for communicating awareness or escalating issues as needed. The position will interface with the CLDP S&MA Office and other Program Offices as neededUS Citizenship or US Permanent Residency and the ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance are required.Primary Responsibilities

Participate in designated meetings, engaging with S&MA representatives and/or SMEs. Document meeting notes and communicate relevant information to the S&MA team.

Collaborate with CLDP S&MA Office, S&MA technical SMEs, and CLDP Program personnel.

Provide insight to Program compliance with S&MA requirements as well as inform S&MA decisions. Identify issues and elevate as necessary.

Coordinate and participate in Program document and design review as well as corresponding summary assessments, and follow up on resulting actions.

Adhere to established processes and implement process improvements to accomplish tasks.

Develop requirements mapping from S&MA requirements to Program documents and CLDP DRDS and perform corresponding gap analysis.

Develop position papers, presentations, and/or requirements interpretations for S&MA issues.

Participate in S&MA meetings, CLDP meetings, and internal team meetings; develop and deliver presentations as needed.

Ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental Plan. Demonstrate a commitment to safety by complying with all policies and procedures.

Responsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan, policies, and procedures to ensure standards are achieved.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or closely related field and 3+ years of experience.

Individual who will proactively contribute and participate in Program meeting discussions. The candidate will seek recommendations from the appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SME), and will disseminate information in a collaborative manner.

Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplined teams and effectively interact with customers at all levels.

Adept at assimilating large amounts of information and highlighting the key pieces that are of importance to the customer.

Demonstrated ability to work independently to perform job duties.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including delivering presentations and writing reports.

Process-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with S&MA requirements/verification in human spaceflight vehicle design and/or with NASA DRD development and implementation.

Prior experience supporting NASA spaceflight operations.

Familiarity with safety standards for human space flight.
