The Sales Leader is a key CDM Smith position, requiring a highly motivated professional with proven capabilities to innovate and advance the firm’s market position, and grow client business. Working alongside senior leadership, you will have the opportunity to further your career and visibility. The successful candidate will lead, manage, and develop CDM Smith's sales team for our public sector water and environmental business and grow revenue within our primary business sectors—helping to achieve top line growth for the Texas and Oklahoma region well positioned to take advantage of market growth. In this role, you will be responsible for sales growth by guiding and mentoring a team of Client Service Leaders. Working closely with the West Central team, you will drive the regional strategic sales strategy and formulate a clear vision and direction for your geography. As Sales Leader, your team will deliver $60 to $75 million in annual sales volume in professional services and $10 to $25 million in alternative delivery.Responsibilities include: Leading, managing, training, and developing the sales team to meet or exceed annual goals. Aligning the team to achieve future strategic growth objectives. Working with project delivery leaders and Technical Services Unit leaders to synchronize sales and delivery activities. Building and sustaining high-level relationships with key clients and continuously improving client service and satisfaction. Taking initiative to create a learning organization by teaching, coaching, and capitalizing on "lessons learned”. Providing input and leadership during the West Central Group's annual sales, revenue, utilization, and profitability business plan development. Monitoring sales performance and adjusting strategies to guide the business. Driving staff retention, hiring, and professional growth by helping to increase staff engagement and recruiting new professionals and strategic staff to position CDM Smith for sustained growth into the future. Conducting research and analysis to identify market expansion opportunities within Texas and Oklahoma. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.Preferred Qualifications: Well established client relationships in municipal water services within Texas and Oklahoma Proven experience successfully growing a state and local government sales team. Proven experience in sales addressing multiple delivery platforms, including consulting services, integrated design/build, and program management. Professional engineering (PE) license. A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the engineering, construction, or related technical field Deep understanding of the engineering consulting market in Texas and Oklahoma, related to the water and environmental market sectors Ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
