That’s where you come in.The Scientific Editor provides substantive and developmental editorial and writing services at an advanced level for all phases of the preparation and issuance of grants, contracts and manuscripts with heavy emphasis on funding opportunities. This position is highly essential to our Fetal Intervention division and our research clinical team. We need a skilled scientific editor to assist with our numerous manuscripts/editorials currently in progress in our growing division. The editorial is highly important for the recognition of our newly created fetal intervention division and would place us globally in the fetal surgeon map. It is imperative that we hire a highly skilled person for this position. The field of fetal intervention is exciting and continues to evolve at a rapid pace. Position Location:UTHealth Ob/Gyn, Fetal Intervention DivisionUniversity Professional Building @ 6410 Fannin Street, Houston, TX 77030Schedule: Full Time, Mon-Fri, Remote/Hybrid Option AvailablePosition Key Accountabilities:

Prepares and edits grant proposals, contracts or other science related documentation ensuring compliance with necessary standards.

Assists investigators with proposal editing and writing to secure extramural funding via the outreach program.

Provides support for the annual reporting to granting agencies, ensuring accuracy of the information and data.

Assists faculty with grant renewal and extension editing and writing.

Assists faculty with external publication document editing and writing. Provides major reorganization/ reconstruction of documents and/or extensive rewriting to enhance logical presentation, coherence and clarity.

Perform other duties as assigned.
