We build a relationship with our clients and want our pet sitters to continue to develop that relationship. This requires attention to detail (as each client has different needs) and the willingness to go the extra mile.

Ability to work on your own and manage time wisely. This is a leadership position, and your ability to manage your time and communicate your needs, client needs, and pet needs will directly impact your suitability for the role.
Flexibility to easily adjust to sudden schedule changes is a plus. Though we accept bookings far in advance, when possible we try to accommodate last-minute needs for ongoing clients.

Have a reliable car a fuel efficient one is best but that is clearly up to you. Before applying, however, please consider what vehicle expenses you would incur. While deductible, these expenses still should be carefully considered.

Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's (Don't worry; you'll be able to have a holiday too, and you'll be paid more per visit during this time.)
You can pass a criminal / background check.
Experience administering oral and/or injectable medications is a plus.
Information regarding visits:
Each client typically requires 1-2 visits per day for 3-14 days. (You'll provide feeding, walking, plant watering, and mail pickup while clients are traveling.)
Visits for dogs are usually 30 to 45 minutes and some are overnight stays.
Visit times for cats are more flexible and are usually once daily for a 30-minute visit.
Hours/Pay rate: Number of visits varies by client demand. Demand tends to be higher around holidays and during summer vacation. Pay range is $11-14 per 30 minute visit DOE.
