- Contract Position 6-12 months
- Location: 77005
- 7:30am to 4:30pm- Tuesday through Saturday
- Rotation Saturday once a month
- Provides advanced and complex multimedia technical support for classrooms, events, conferences, meetings
- Sets up, manages and maintains the technical equipment (including microphones, speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, sound and mixing boards and relate electronic equipment) for events, classes, meetings, conferences, presentation, videos, etc.
- Produce, capture, edit and publish videos
- Prepares room with proper equipment for specific events (e.g., classroom teaching, meetings, seminars, etc.)
- Ensures all of the audio-visual presentations and equipment runs smoothly
- Installs, diagnoses, resolves, repairs and monitors media systems, components and equipment
- Maintains inventory of equipment, supplies repair equipment
- Provides assistance and instruction to others to operate the equipment
- Determines formats, approaches, content, levels, and mediums to effectively meet objectives within budgetary constraints, using research, knowledge, and training
- Provides support for live presentations, recordings and webinar programs
- Mentors junior staff
- May also provide visual graphics, audio tracks and lighting
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of minimum experience
- Proficient in the operation a variety of audio, visual and other multimedia equipment, components and applications
- Ability to install, troubleshoot and repair multimedia equipment
- Ability to find and diagnose common system configuration problems
- Must be able to teach the use of audiovisual equipment and software, and audiovisual systems to faculty, staff & students
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work assignments
- Strong communication skills verbal and writing
