Description We are in search of a Senior Buyer to join our team. The role will be based in Irving, Texas, and will involve significant responsibility within the purchasing department. The Senior Buyer will play a crucial role in contract negotiations, purchasing processes, and maintaining departmental efficiency.Responsibilities: Conduct contract negotiations to ensure optimal terms and conditions. Analyze purchasing processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices promptly and accurately. Provide training to internal team members on issuing purchase requisitions correctly. Act as a source of information for all teammates, promoting knowledge sharing within the Purchasing department. Exhibit high levels of customer service when interacting with internal teams. Utilize ERP solutions and Oracle EBS to manage purchasing activities and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with vendors to negotiate contracts and purchasing terms. Perform accounting functions related to purchasing activities. Oversee the purchasing of materials and manage accounts payable. Handle purchasing procurement and use purchasing software to streamline operations. Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Buyer or similar role for a minimum of 5 years Strong knowledge of ERP solutions and Oracle Proficiency in accounting functions and accounts payable (AP) Familiarity with buying processes and purchasing activities Experience in purchasing materials and procurement Skilled at using purchasing software Excellent communication skills Ability to negotiate contracts effectively Experience in a purchasing department or similar environment In-depth understanding of purchasing functions.
