Senior Cost Engineer - Oil & Gas Construction (Anticipated Opening)

Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Engineer who has prior experience managing the financial and cost reporting aspects of large-scale construction projects or programs. The ideal individual will have prior experience successfully managing and leading a team.

Responsibilities:Supporting the development and implementation of cost reporting strategies for major construction projects.Providing specialist technical cost engineering advice to private sector clients across a variety of construction contracts.Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.Monitoring project costs and ensuring they align with the approved budget.Conducting financial analysis and reporting on project performance.Supporting project billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, and industry best practices (AACE)Building positive relationships within the project team and with Client personnel and their key advisors.Managing and updating internal financial trackers and supporting the financial capability of the project services function.Supporting the delivery of both teams and wider business targets.Supporting data visualization and reporting via digital dashboard and automation tools.SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.Project/Program specifications:Full time or hybrid in office in Houston.Occasional travel to site is required.Project/Program specific responsibilities:Market sector experience: Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Utility or other heavy industry experience required.Project/program size in dollar value: Demonstrated experience on projects or programs >$1B.Certification requirements: Membership or certifications from AACE or similar preferred.
