As a diversified, national organization, you’ll have access to competitive benefits including a fresh perspective on workplace flexibility.Position Purpose: Manage and execute media and public relations efforts for Corporate products, regional health plans and other subsidiaries, including proactive media, public relations and crisis communications.Provide strategic communication counsel and guidance to subsidiaries within assigned regions, including proactive public relations initiatives and issues management.Oversee Public Relations for Markets and Product subsidiaries.Oversee review and approval process between subsidiaries and corporate senior management for public relations activities.Monitor and analyze Centene, industry and competitive trends that impact the organization, and recommend and implement action plans.Oversee Corporate Public Relations efforts related to national programs, M&A activities and business development activities.Manage department staff including hiring, performance management and career development to ensure alignment with defined goals.Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. 6+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, or communications.
