Job Summary:

The Software Developer position provides individuals with an opportunity to apply their skills in a dynamic work environment while developing well-rounded competencies in our client's products and services. As a member of the Product Development team, the Software Developer will be developing front-end web pages and a behind-the-scenes database. The position exposes individuals to the complete Software Development Life Cycle.

Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesSpecific duties and responsibilities include:

Develop and design web pages using ASP.Net
Develop and design database objects, such as tables, stored procedures, functions, etc.
Write processes and queries to import and export data at fixed frequencies and per request
Develop and maintain mobile hybrid applications, web applications, and web services
Scale applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with speediness and quality
Produce high-quality software that is unit-tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly
Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve productivity
Learn new software tools and skills as needed
Be able to visit and have calls with clients in order to gather requirements and gain understanding of development requests
Research and develop new ways to improve existing functionality
Proactively analyze and bring forth ideas for continuous improvement

Requirements

Education and Training

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience

Knowledge and Skills

Web Development using ASP.Net
ASP.Net MVC 5 – Minimum 3 years
VB.Net and/or C# – Minimum 3 years
HTML – Minimum 2 years
CSS – Minimum 2 years
JavaScript – Minimum of 2 years
jQuery – Minimum of 1 year
Database Development using T-SQL; writing complex queries, stored procedures and functions
Minimum experience of 3 years
Knowledge of .NET Core/.NET 5 a plus
Knowledge of ASP.NET Web Forms a plus
Web services development experience using REST, JSON, XML
Proficiency with hybrid and native app development for Android and iOS platforms.
Strong understanding of OOP design, algorithms, and design patterns
Understanding of cloud development with Azure services a plus
Understanding of software engineering practices
Understanding of best practices in mobile UX design
Knowledge of Bootstrap, Sass, React, Angular a plus
Scale applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with speediness and quality.

Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve productivity.

Physical and Safety Requirements
Sitting, bending, standing, walking, typing and/or speaking at least 8 hours per day
