SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER

Horn Solutions has partnered with one of America's leading semiconductor suppliers to hire a Senior Network Engineer. This is a hybrid position located in Austin, Texas.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be part of a fast paced and dynamic work environment. You will be responsible for the support and improvement of critical networks. You will have the opportunity to design, engineer, and implement standardized network systems focusing on security and standard methodologies. This position is not open to C2C.

Responsibilities:
  • Make sure all existing networks operate in a stable manner to minimize system issues and production impact.
  • Work with network team leadership to strategize and develop the overall global architecture
  • Monitor and diagnose performance issues using on-site or cloud systems and tools
  • Design, write, and update both system documents and network diagrams
  • Lead architecture and design efforts of our global network environments
  • Administration and support of LAN/WAN/WLAN technology to include routers, switches, firewalls, Load Balancers, and VPN appliances
  • Work alongside your colleagues in the Information Security team, ensure the appropriate level of security to safeguard company IP and to meet audit requirements

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer supporting a globally distributed engineering enterprise, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with network protocols and technologies such as BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP and IPSec tunnels
  • Experience in networking systems such as CISCO routers , switches, firewalls and etc.
  • Ability to lead several projects simultaneously from design to implementation
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently
  • Expert ability to design, implement and support LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure
  • CCNP certification, JUNCIP-Junos or equivalent
