We are looking for Senior RF Field Engineer to join our LTE/5G engineering team. You will be a key contributor as a subject matter expert in radio frequency (RF) and/or wireless transmission design. You will design and plan wireless radio communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition, and ancillary equipment. You will provide suggestions and analysis of large wireless network performance. You will assist in the Deployment and Optimization of these networks you will need to resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. You will use your expertise to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. You will interact across multifunctional groups and with customers driving the ownership of those relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

o Perform Configuration and RF Parameter Audits thru existing tools. Help in improving efficiency of the process.o Conduct or assist in all field engineering activities in support of field trials (FIT/FOA/FFA).o Design and execute RF field test plans for technology features and performance.o Accountable for driving field integration testing efforts (FFA/FIT/FFA) of all 4G/5G key features with customers, including test plan development, reviewing test plan with internal teams, driving cross-functional teams to execution, review of test results, issue identification, analysis and quality proofing.o Perform ad-hoc field testing as needed.o Interface with customer and other Client teams via conference calls and/or in-person field activities.o Perform limited project management to ensure all RF Engineering deliverables are met.o Guide troubleshooting of performance related issue thru analysis of 5G KPIs, UE logs and other network logs.o Develop and review Engineering MOPs.o Interface with software/hardware design groups and provide assistance for their activities of debugging and resolution.o Prepare reports and presentations, compile and analyze data and engineering information for the effective communication of processes, results, plans, recommendations, and conclusion.o Adapt to changes in a dynamic business environment, support management initiatives, and guide other engineers. Background/Experience required

o Bachelor's Degree in engineering with more than 10 years of directly related experience required, or 15 years of directly related experience with lesser degree.o Must have strong knowledge and experience with 4G and 5GDeployment, Test, Optimization and Troubleshooting for mmWave and Sub-6 GHz systems as well as their associated parameterso Experience with UE data collection and post-processing tools, preferably Accuver XCAL and XCAP.o Experience in testing and trialing various 4G/5G features.o Experience with CBRS, Massive-MIMO, and TDD systems is strongly desired.o A solid understanding of RF fundamentals and data network protocols.o Advanced working knowledge of Base Station Vendor equipment (Client, Alcatel Lucent, Ericsson).o Must be able to support presentation of technical information in various business settings to audiences of varying backgrounds.o Experience with Alteryx is a plus.o Experience with GIS tools such as QGIS or ESRI ArcGIS is a plus.o Client LTE/5G experience is a plus.o Python or other coding or automation skills are a plus.o Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to communicate key technical concepts and the ability to package complex ideas into logical, easy-to-follow progressions.o Successful track record defining direction and providing specific instruction for engineering projects/programs leveraging personal knowledge and organizational skills to increase team efficiency, facilitate personal development and mentor colleagues.o Must have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, integrity and work extremely well independently and in a team environment.o Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.o Must have a valid US driver’s license.o Must be able to travel on short notice during the project more than 50% of the time. When not traveling, must be present in the Plano, TX office unless other arrangements are made and approved by management.
