Vanguard plans to open a new office in the Dallas-Fort Worth region in early 2022. In alignment with Vanguard's commitment to making advice more accessible and affordable for investors, the new location will support all aspects of our growing advice businesses. This location will supplement Vanguard's talented roster of advisors and advice-focused crew and offer leadership and development opportunities that continue to enable crew to best support our clients.
As one of the first scrum masters to join the Dallas team, you'll have a unique opportunity to help lay the groundwork for this exciting expansion. You'll play an integral part in the Dallas onboarding strategy for Retail Advice Systems, and you'll engage crew throughout the site as you help shape culture and community for crew in the Dallas office.Preferred skills include:- Ability to coach and lead 1-2 agile teams

- Experience working with teams across multiple locations
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Computer Science or Engineering experience preferred.
- Minimum of three years related work experience. Two years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational technology projects preferred. Financial Services and technical experience preferred.
- Scrum Master Certification strongly preferred.
- Provides insight on best practices for high performing teams in the delivery of technology-related product or projects, ensuring team actions are aligned with project goals.
- Facilitates planning, team learning, and assists adaptation of processes to ensure the quality of team solutions.
- Encourages a continuous learning environment to strengthen the team's understanding of Agile/Scrum concepts and principles as they relate to technical capabilities.
- Applies methodology that supports the integration of changing customer inputs and business conditions into technology-related product development.
- Works with product owners and management to define and prioritize technology-related outcomes. Identifies trade-offs between short/ long-term benefits to drive shared vision between the team and product owner.
- Ensures the application of agile frameworks to the development process to increase effectiveness of technology-related product development or architecture.
- Leads daily scrum meetings, iteration reviews, and maintains backlogs.
- Identifies and may remove roadblocks to technology-related product development or architecture.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
