Senior Scrum Master

Position Description CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Scrum Master to join our financial services team in one of our selected CGI locations. Due to the current COVID-19 status, candidates will not be required to work within the physical work location at this time. When COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, they will be required to be located within the proximity of the assigned CGI location.

The Scrum Master/Technical PM will be responsible for the performance of a medium to large sized technical project, several small or medium sized projects, or a definable portion of a larger technical program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.

Your future duties and responsibilities• Perform Scrum Master / Tech PM role to manages projects/activities within Enterprise Database Team• Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities.• Manages the technical direction of a project through the design, implementation and testing in accordance with project objectives. You will be required to use our client's program management tools to manage project work plans, issues, risks, and dependencies. Produce status reports and conducts status meetings and facilitates issue resolution and risk management sessions.• Drives discussions with various support groups like Enterprise Arch, L2, DBA, Cloud Infrastructure, etc. to ensure the team's dependencies are resolved and blockers are eliminated• Interfaces with program (if team is working on a larger initiative) and represent Enterprise Data/team on status calls• Release Management: Develop and own Implementation Plan, drive implementation activities (implementation could be on weekends)• Creates change tickets for the team as needed - MyServices/RITM/JIRA requests• Manage multiple/concurrent work streams end-to-end. Utilize project coordination expertise and tools such as Rally, JIRA and MS-Project to support upstream and downstream teams throughout SDLC.• Communicate committed stories for the upcoming sprint to backlog owners and stakeholders.• Facilitate scrum ceremonies for the team (Daily Stand-up, Planning, Retrospective, Grooming & Review/Demo).• Facilitate weekly stakeholder meetings, impediment resolution meetings• Track and produce key metrics (e.g., burndown, burnup, cumulative flow, velocity, etc.)

Required qualifications to be successful in this role• 5+ years of progressive IT Experience• 5 years of project management experience with Waterfall and Agile Methodologies• 3+ years of Agile Scrum , Kanban methodologies. Agile SAFe certification is a MUST HAVE• Proficient with JIRA and SDLC• Proficient with Microsoft excel, PowerPoint, Visio• Comfortable with leading several workstreams as part of a program.• Attention to detail, and strong communication, negotiation, client-facing and client relationship building skills• Outstanding leadership skills• Ability to resolve technical issues and to manage, coordinate and guide a project team• Comfortable with leading several workstreams as part of a program• Strong issue resolution and risk management skills• Previous experience using project management methodologies

Desired Skillset• Familiarity with DB/DBA activities, Data Migration projects and AWS experience/knowledge is a plus• Familiarity with AWS technologies, DMS, AWS RDS, Aurora Postgres, RedShift, Python/Lambda will be preferable• Previous Mortgage Industry experience highly preferred• PMI/Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field• Post-graduate degree desired
