Job Description Note, this position is:Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week. Job summary: Our Web applicationDevelopers works closely with various engineering teams, designers to not only build incredible Customer-facing products, but also dealer-facing tools. You'll use modern technologies and frameworks likeAngular, Typescript, .Net Rest APIs and the latest web standards in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, todevelop large front-end web applications that scale and perform well. Platform supporting will be Lead, Campaign and Loyalty teams build transactional customer facing and dealer facing applications supporting GM's Customer/Dealer Engagement across Leads, Campaigns and Loyalty verticals. Various applications such as MyAccount, E-commerce, Shop Click Drive leverage APIs across the GMIT enterprise as well as external third-party. We develop and maintain applications such as GM Rewards, Vehicle Purchase Program, GM Card, Student Discounts, Goodwill and DRC to name a few Responsibilities: • Translate designs and requirements into high quality code • Build and organize development workflows to optimize code delivery and efficiency • Work collaboratively with the technical team on application architecture strategy • Build reusable code and libraries for future use • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability • Work collaboratively with a distributed team • Continuously learn and share new ideas and technical concepts Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience developing web applications
- Minimum 3 year experience working with Angular or React frameworks
- Good understanding of software development best practices
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Extensive UI Design experience
- Full lifecycle application development using standard frameworks and coding standards/patterns
- Coordinate and contribute to architectural and design discussions
- Coding, unit testing and debugging applications in various software languages
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs
- Well versed in developing SPA's leveraging Angular framework
- Perform code reviews to suggest, encourage, and support coding best practices
- Knowledge of technologies including Java/ C#, .Net Core, Spring boot, Angular Front end UI frameworks and PCF
- Identify, measure, and understand user needs and execute on appropriate solution
- Experience building CI/CD and server/deployment automation solutions
- Deep knowledge and passion for coding standards
- Automates unit/end-to-end testing of software systems within their domain, focused on software quality and maintainability
- Proactively engage in the identification/remediation of software issues such as code quality, and security issues related to the code or solution/configuration
- Experience with Agile, working in sprints and participating in the agile ceremonies
- Holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and cultural behaviors. Models GM behaviors and crafts a winning culture.
