At TFS, you will help create best-in-class customer experience in an innovative, collaborative environment.To save time applying, Toyota does not offer sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas or any other work authorization for this position at this time.This position is based in Plano, TX with a hybrid mix of some in-office time and some remote work.Who we’re looking for:The TFS Productivity Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Unified Communications Engineer to contribute to the design, architecture, and optimization of Unified Communications (UC) systems. This role involves overseeing new site implementations, modifying existing sites, and improving deployed systems and services throughout their lifecycle. The engineer will develop a deep understanding of the end-user operating environment and help shape a roadmap to deliver exceptional audio-video, voice, and collaboration experiences. This includes cross-affiliate responsibilities across Toyota North America and global connections, ensuring seamless service delivery during implementations and enhancements. The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturers, contributing to product roadmaps, managing Service Level Agreements, and ensuring a world-class user experience.What you’ll be doing

Providing subject matter expertise in:

End-user UC experiences (voice, video, chat, and collaboration).

Requirements gathering & solution design.

Provisioning, troubleshooting, testing, and optimizing of UC systems.

Establishing & enforcing company/industry standards.

Designing & measuring quality of experience controls.

Microsoft Teams client and Teams Admin Center best practices.

Driving standardization and best practices for the design and implementation services in the UC environment.

Evangelizing new features and modern productivity practices in the UC environment to users.

Work closely with the other teams to release features and services to the enterprise.

Consult in the technical direction of TFS Service Providers supporting the UC environment with respect to enhancements, upgrades, patching, or run and maintain services.

Providing Level 3 technical and escalation support to TFS Service Providers for any Production or Operational issues related to the UC environment.

Consulting with users and business units to develop and train on UC best practices and standards to enhance productivity.

Providing input for technology roadmaps and lifecycle refreshes for UC environment

Collaborating with vendors to build quotes for solutions & services.

Establish and maintain working relationships with software & hardware vendors to secure technical support and product insight on behalf of TFS.

Actively participating in planning and prioritization sessions to ensure UC initiatives align with business goals.

Staying current with the latest industry trends and tools and integrate this knowledge to improve UC solutions.

Working collaboratively with team members.

Meeting regular performance expectations.

Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance to support team and business objectives.

Capability to work flexible hours, which may include day, evening and weekend hours.

What you bring

5+ years of progressive, broad-based IT experience participating in projects and playing a key role toward successful implementation of the project.

3-5 years experience designing and supporting modern Unified Communications solutions (voice, video, meetings, chat, online collaboration).

Hands on experience in Microsoft Teams Admin Center.

Hand on experience helping users solve communication and collaboration challenges through modern UC practices.

A keen understanding of Microsoft Teams, Teams Phone, and M365.

Experience deploying and managing SBC’s

Strong UC industry awareness.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to senior management.

Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.

Typically possesses 5 or more years’ experience providing technical administrative support for UC systems.

Proactive approach to identifying problems and developing innovative solutions.

PowerShell experience in relation to Microsoft Teams Administration

Added bonus if you have

7+ years of progressive, broad-based IT experience participating in projects and playing a key role toward successful implementation of the project.

Microsoft or industry related certifications.

Capability to replace legacy infrastructure and processes.

Experience with Microsoft Teams Operator Connect.

Experience in the agile scrum framework.

Experience with Microsoft Graph API
