Server Storage Development Test Engineer Type: ContractLocation: Onsite – Round Rock, TexasLength: 2+ yearsHours: 8-5pmInterview Process: 2 Video interviewsNote: Prescreen questions must be answered to be submitted.The position is for a Development Test Engineer to work in the Server Storage engineering team. The Server Storage engineering team develops emerging server storage solutions spanning multiple implementations,including Hardware RAID solutions, Software RAID, and PCIe SSD products within Client’s Server and Infrastructure Systems organization. Skills & Experience Needed: In depth familiarity of Microsoft Server OSes, VMWare ESXi, Red Hat, SuSE, and Ubuntu Linux operating systems Must be able to install Windows, ESXi, Linux (RHEL, SLES, Ubuntu), and execute tests in these OSes. Experience with server storage technology, including NVMe, SAS and RAID is preferred. Must have a solid understanding of hardware and software interactions and be able to apply this understanding to resolve issues. Detail-oriented with attention to product quality. Demonstrates strong problem solving and analysis skills. Ability in organizing and managing multiple projects, setting priorities, and working independently under aggressive timelines. Able to easily achieve mastery of new tools, scripting languages and operating systems. Must be physically able to lift servers to assist in racking server and storage equipment up to 50lbs.
