or candidates need apply Our client is seeking a SharePoint Administrator for a contract to hire position in Austin, Texas. This position will be mostly remote with the potential to be required to come in for certain meetings. They are required to be a resident of the State of Texas.

Skills:
  • The practices, principles, and techniques of web design, web technologies, network management, and computer operations.
  • Internet technologies and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint Designer, HTML5, JavaScript, Visual Studio.NET, K2 Five, MS Power Automate/Flow and PowerShell.
  • Data Migration tools Sharegate, Quest, or Metalogix.
  • System requirements analysis and management, software testing, and services-oriented architecture
  • UI/UX best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have minimum 3 years SharePoint Administration experience, preferably 5 or more years

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or a related field, including coursework in web design.
  • Knowledge and working experience with the following applications: PowerShell, MS Power Automate (Flow), K2 Five, Microsoft SQL Server, PowerBI, MS Graph
  • Certification in SharePoint Administration.

Duties:

SharePoint Administration – 65%
  • Collaborates with the lead content administrator and team on the architect, design, support, configuration, and development of all SharePoint environments, which includes the main intranet portal, team sites, and other extranet/internet initiatives.
  • Executes, enforces, and supports defined collaborative theories to the Microsoft platform, information architecture, records management, site security, policy and retention, document assembly, and business process.
  • Participates in the documentation of SharePoint Enterprise solution requirements, including development support documentation, Visio work-flow processes, training materials, and operations documentation.
  • Participates and/or leads in the definition, development, and documentation of end user business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with team members, end-users, and stakeholders.
  • Provides day-to-day operational support of the SharePoint system (as a member of team).
  • Assists in the implementation and testing of new software products, tools, or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues.
  • Assists SharePoint staff and end users in troubleshooting and resolving routine and complex issues related to SharePoint.
  • Assists in the administration of the existing SharePoint environment, including monitoring, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and storage capacity requirements; and maintains system stability, availability, security, and audit requests.
  • Ability to create sites, lists/libraries, content types, site columns, permissions and pages; manage metadata and webparts.
  • Performs and/or leads site collection administrative activities such as site creation, security administration, user training, and issue resolution.
  • Participates and/or leads in development of policies, procedures, and governance for all sites within a web application.
  • Generates and analyzes website statistics and reports as needed, using custom or packaged tools.
  • Researches and recommends best-practices that enhance end-user experience and promote both system efficiency and maintainability.
  • Analyzes, monitors, develops, and maintains site accessibility.

Security – 15 %
  • Participates in disaster recovery testing related to the SharePoint implementation.
  • Assists lead content administrator and server administrator with the testing of security and cumulative updates
  • Executes and enforces the site security model and implementation strategy.

Client’s Public Website – 10 %
  • Coordinates with lead web content administrator and Communication staff for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Develops, designs, and updates content on agency website in accordance with current agency accessibility standards.
  • Collaborates with agency Communications staff for content management approvals to ensure that all agency website content complies with agency policy and approved design.
  • Completes all requested agency website postings promptly and accurately within current service level agreement guidelines.

Training – 5%
  • Develops training materials and provides training to SharePoint staff and end users with varying levels of skills.
  • Educates agency departments in standardizing and optimizing the way data/information is stored and retrieved.
  • Prepares and delivers SharePoint training program for employees to ensure employees are skilled using SharePoint and understands the capabilities of the program.
