The integrated full-service solutions leverage a 96-year legacy in event management as well as new technologies to deliver moments that matter.SummaryThe Assistant Director of Show Site Labor in our National Support Center is responsible for directing and coordinating labor activities between Freeman AV branches to obtain optimum efficiency and to maximize profits while ensuring service delivery. The Assistant Director translates business needs into tools and procedures that support operational excellence, sustainable profitability and uncompromising service.This position will support our Audio Visual & Event Technology team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of any of the following locations:

Dallas, TX

Austin, TX

Las Vegas, NV

Chicago, IL

Orlando, FL

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Develops processes and systems that direct the most efficient use of labor resources

Analyzes labor utilization trends and creates actionable reports on current capabilities and future needs

Creates communications about process and system changes for impacted stakeholders

Audits and ensures compliance to established standards and procedures on labor utilization, management, and applicable labor laws

Manages the Company’s various labor information repositories

Acts as liaison and translator between Operations and Sales on labor matters

Analyzes labor costs and develops pricing models to maintain necessary margins

Assists management in labor relations, contract negotiations and contract administration

Manages relationships with key labor suppliers ensuring they meet quality and service standards

Proactively works with scheduling managers to identify and fill labor needs and make optimal use of labor resources

Recruits and qualifies new talent to the Company

Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in the events industry

7 years of related experience

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SharePoint

Knowledge of and experience working with organized labor

Solid understanding of employment laws (i.e. ACA, ADA, FLSA), Department of Labor rules, and OSHA requirements

Proficiency in SAP, Kronos, SalesForce, and Tableau

Proven written and verbal communication, organizational, planning, analytical, and interpersonal skills

Experience establishing and leveraging close professional relationships with internal customers who drive business and utilization decisions.

Ability to develop and adhere to project timelines.

Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time.

Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
