Position: Snowflake Developer

Location: Dallas, TX (Remote till COVID Situation)

Duration: 6 Months

Technical Skills:5+ years of software development experience in below.Experience in large implementations in a Telecommunications corporation.Experience on working with datasets in Cloud utilizing Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server and Vertica databases for Data Ingestion, transformation and extraction.Mastery of SQL, especially within cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake.Experience with SnowSQL development and knowledge in Snowpipe implementations.Experience with shell scripts and automation to do Extract, Load and Transform data.Experience with Azure/AWS cloud environment.Experience with code versioning tools Git etc.Experience with performance tuning of multiple database queries.Experience with scheduling tools.Certifications in Teradata, Vertica and/or Oracle is desirable.

Roles and Responsibility:Understand Vertica architecture, workflows, tables, data and usage in legacy systems.Implement scripts and/or use industry standard accelerators for creating and migrating tables to Snowflake.Configure Snowflake and public cloud environment for tuning synchronization and data load processes.Debug and troubleshoot Snowflake applications and data migration processes.Integrate the systems and test.Translating business use cases into data analytics specifications and designing big data solutions to deliver these use cases.Conduct review sessions with Architecture, Solution Design & Project Development resources as required during the Design and Development Phases.Implement scripts for data processing and loading using Nifi.
