Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), Node, React

We have been retained by our financial services client to deliver a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) on a long-term contract basis to significantly contribute to end-to-end automated testing, test harnesses, testing of web applications, using NodeJS and React. Our fintech client is providing loan origination services and is seeking collaborative team-players to join this growing development team. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as JavaScript, Typescript, Python, Java, C#, etc. Our client uses JavaScript for writing end-to-end test automation. There will be a Python component to the test framework, as well as React, and Node. We prefer candidates with test automation, test framework, or test harness, or Playwright experience.

• experience with React (or another similar javascript / typescript framework, Angular, Vue, etc.).
• the ability to describe previous experience using or creating a test harness for test automation.
• configuration and maintenance of a test framework, and fully end-to-end test automation coverage.
• experience with Playwright in a NodeJS, React environment. In this role you will learn How-To: Use Playwright and Create React App to setup E2E component testing with a test-harness.
• experience with at least one automated testing tool with preference towards Playwright.
• experience using git.
• experience working with cross-functional Agile teams and delivering products, collaborating with Design and Product Management.
• a desire to keep up to date with technologies and make strides to try to use the best tool for the job.
• experience in architecting and implementing test automation solutions and frameworks for complex front end and back-end systems
• experience collaborating with developers on test automation scenarios, paired programming, reviewing unit tests and coaching on testing best practices
• experience in test planning with test case management systems interfacing with and implementing tests
• experience with implementing tests in AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
• financial experience
