Insight Global is seeking a Software Engineer for a leading elevator controller manufacturer. This engineer will design, develop, code, test and debug existing system software on embedded targets. The Software Engineer will be in a supporting role to an existing product and will oversee maintaining and sustaining the existing product. Elevators have a high number of permutations, and no buildings are the same. Therefore, the controller product needs to have lots of variation. Essential functions include:- Writing code and debugging code on a microprocessor - Participate in the integration efforts/ bug fixes. - Interface with hardware design and development - Use simulators to find bugs on the software - Integrate and validate new product designs - Occasional direct communication with clients to resolve high-level product issues - Occasional travel >5% - Experience in the elevator industry is a HUGE plus.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering- Has an active US Passport- 2+ years of experience coding on a microprocessor- Fluent in C programming in the embedded microcontroller environment - Knowledge of communication protocols RS232, RS485, CAN Bus and USB. - Ability to write device driver and able to read schematics- Proficient in cross-platform development by using Integrated Development Environment (IDE), emulators, logic analyzer- Experience working with Arm Cortex M3 and M4 microprocessors. - Highly motivated and hardworking- ID: #49539135
