We have been retained by our client to deliver a
Software Engineer, API, backend services on a full-time, direct hire basis, 100% remote work from anywhere in the USA. Excellent development team culture using Agile, Scrum, C#, .NET, AWS, TDD, Go Lang. Long-term established company with new teams, new technologies, and a start-up feel, but without the risks of other startups. Smaller growing team allows for a broader scope of work and more of a variety of work for this API engineer. The collaboration is fluid and often.We are seeking an experienced API (REST API or other API) & backend services engineer who can contribute significantly with C# .NET Visual Studio to the development of an API used with high throughput, low latency, high-speed data network application, as well as some, or a little GoLang (Google s Go language) on the edges or the gateway. The plan is to build a high-speed API including using cloud native practices and patterns on AWS, but candidates with AWS devops/SRE or Azure devops/SRE skills/experience are attractive to this team also. You will collaborate directly with a small team to build and deliver the mission critical foundational API and backend services needed. Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain middle-tier services Follow lean agile approach to project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables Continually optimize applications for speed and scaleJoin an advanced, and sophisticated team of software engineering and software architecture experts and stay focused on the design and development gRPC API (Google s Remote Procedure Call Applications Programming Interface). Most likely mostly C# on gPRC API, and a little/some GoLang on the edges or at the gateway, potentially/probably/maybe/TBD. Requirements: 3+ years experience in a role providing API engineering (any API, REST API experience is fine for this role), backend services, delivering user experience at scale. Using languages/platforms like C# / .NET and/or golang (Google s Go language). Must have 3+ years experience with C# experience, or 3 years of GoLang experience. Experience with linux and cloud native/containerized deployments Experience with ci/cd pipelines and an understanding of the value they provide A clear understanding of distributed systems in the cloud and how architectural decisions affect performance and maintainability An understanding of site reliability (SRE) and/or developer operations, (DevOps), (with AWS or Azure), AWS used here. Solid experience designing for and troubleshooting high performance data network applications or financial applications Desired experience:- Experience with low latency financial market data applications
