Software Engineer - Web Applications for Global Consumer Device Company in San Diego or Austin SummaryThis team is responsible for application development to improve delivery, management, and scalability of factory test platforms to factories located worldwide.We are looking for a curious, enthusiastic, self-motivated software developer to work on several key systems as a member of our collaborative team. Responsibilities:As a full-stack engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills to handle responsibilities you will:-Participate in architecture and code reviews-Communicate ideas within our team-Coordinate with cross functional partners on integrations points-Highlight and strive to work around any issues as they arise Requirements:-4+ years developing database driven web applications and high performance application systems-Strong skills in RDBMS databases, especially MySQL, including schema design-Excellent development skills in complex Perl and NodeJS applications-Experience using and building RESTful API’s and JSON-Experience deploying to high reliability production environments-Experience using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS-Strong object oriented programming and application design skills-Ability to work in a UNIX environment scripting-Scripting in additional languages such as PHP, Ruby, Python-Knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI 3.0-Knowledge of continuous integration, testing methodologies, TDD and agile development methodologies-BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience Nice to haves:-Experience with Web UI, including modern JS frameworks (e.g. React/Redux)-Familiarity with UX design principles Duration: 12+ monthsLocations: San Diego, CA or Austin, TX (Hybrid Schedule)
