Other locations within the service territory will be considered – LA, TX, MS, ARThis will be a hybrid remote role, with the expectations that the employee is able to report to the office on an as needed basisJOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:Responsible for leading the innovative development of Meter to Cash (M2C) business solutions with a primary focus on Entergy’s IT Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) portfolio to enable the business to meet its objectives. Utility Operations includes applications and services focused on meter-based solutions such as Siemens Meter Data Management System, Itron Head End/Utility and the overall Meter to Billing value chain. The role requires an in-depth understanding of available IT technologies, the business unit's operations, its operating model, capability needs, and business challenges. The role is responsible for creating a fully integrated, effective business solution. The role is an active thought leader and application visionary who shapes the technology demand among the business unit.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide overall design guidelines for software and hardware integration, performance, reliability, operating, and security designs. Support business units in the creation of project business cases (e.g., success criteria).

Capture business capability requirements, functional requirements, and expected service levels from business unit and stated EA solutions to create an actionable Business-IT roadmap (a long range plan for the business that identifies specific IT investments in applications and infrastructure to support business objectives).

Support BU leadership in identifying opportunities for emerging technologies, through collaboration with the EA function, to enable business strategies. Provide an advisory role with the client on the impact of new technologies on their existing technical and information system environment.

Work with business and IT teams to review test strategies and requirements traceability. Ensure business and functional requirements are maintained throughout the development/configuration process (requirements traceability matrix). Review and analyze user acceptance testing results to validate the functions of the delivered solution.

Maintain strong understanding of technology needs and solutions for the business unit. Regularly visit business units to assess satisfaction and identify follow-up education opportunities. Consider alternate delivery models for meeting business needs.

Liaise between the client, vendors, project management and the technical team on questions, issues, and revisions to the solution architecture.

Provide Support for STORM and be available 24x7 to oversee STORM application verification during weather events

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Minimum education required of the positionBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.Minimum experience required of the positionSolution Architect: 5+ years of experience architecting, implementing, and administrating enterprise solutions/systems that leverage meter management applicationsSolution Architect Sr: 10+ years of experience architecting, implementing, and administrating enterprise meter management solutions/systems

Experience in platform architecture, solution design, project envisioning, planning, developing, deployment, security, identity management frameworks, cloud, and scalability

Preference for experience with Siemens Meter Data Management System (MDMS) and/or Itron Head End System (HES)/UtilityIQ

Preference for experience with Oracle; Microsoft SQL, PL/SQL; and/or other RDBMS and Windows, Linux, and/or other server environments

Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented architectures and cloud hybrid configurations

Professional excellence in technical consulting, solution design, project envisioning, planning, developing, and deployment

Strong, persuasive communication and presentation skills

Ability to clearly communicate technical ideasboth verbally and in written formwhether to customers, executives, or other technical or non-technical peers

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Understanding and practical experience of industry application solutions.

Experience in developing customer-centric solutions.

Working knowledge in all areas of technology (infrastructure, commercial applications, software development, end-user platforms, IT operations).

Planning experience, especially the design of long-term strategies.

Ability to communicate and present effectively with all levels in the organization, including executive management.

Excellent interpersonal communications skills.

Excellentwriting and presentation skills.

Working knowledge of architecture concepts and the ability to integrate business needs and technology capabilities.

Knowledge of integration of other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, EAM, CRM, SCM) is a plus
