At FedEx Dataworks, we are making supply chains work smarter for everyone.Summary:As a Solution Architect Principal at FedEx Dataworks, you will play a critical role in providing strategic guidance and technical leadership in the design and implementation of complex solutions for our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of data management, analytics, and architecture principles, coupled with hands-on expertise in designing and implementing data solutions. As the highest-level individual contributor within our organization, you will be expected to be a leader with vision in your field, possessing a deep understanding of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies!Job responsibilities and skills/abilities etc.,

Lead the design and architecture of innovative solutions that address the business needs and challenges of our clients.

Collaborate with multi-functional teams including sales, engineering, and product management to develop comprehensive solution strategies.

Conduct architecture reviews, assessments, and provide recommendations to optimize existing systems and processes.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives by finding opportunities for innovation and efficiency in solution delivery.

Take a hands-on approach to implementing data solutions, including data integration, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data analytics pipelines. Including but not limited to coding.

Mentor and coach junior members of the solution architecture team, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Skills / Abilities

Expertise in a wide range of technologies and platforms, including but not limited to cloud computing, microservices architecture, API design, DevOps and FinOps practices.

Experience in architecting and building the microservices for APIs using Springboot, Python, and Kotlin, and building UI using Angular/React to expose the data insights generated from AI/ML data models and pipelines.

Experience in architecting and driving the software development lifecycle including the modern testing strategy and virtualized data strategy for autonomous component testing.

Experience in enabling the product for operational visibility through proper instrumentation like Dynatrace, App Dynamics and Azure App Insights etc.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external clients.

Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and coaching junior team members.

Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Industry certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are a plus.

Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of seven (7) years of direct field experience in functions related to designing, maintaining, and/or implementation of solutions to complex business and technical situations or experience closely related to the field and job duties. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements. Background in computer science, information technology or software engineering.Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential.
