  • List specific decisions this position makes and is accountable for
  • Evaluate risk and ensure appropriate controls are implemented to mitigate risk for assigned business processes
  • Lead evaluation of any significant business process or system changes in assigned process area(s) to ensure appropriate controls
  • Lead remediation of SOX deficiencies
  • Evaluate other business changes or other potential issues impacting the control environment
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all SOX-related systems and working knowledge of non-SOX-related systems to assess control impact
  • Maintain ongoing and current working knowledge of business processes for assigned areas
Major Activities
  • Lead assigned business process team(s) to ensure effective and efficient compliance with management's internal control framework
  • Lead control rationalization project for assigned business processes to identify areas for improvement; simplification; and automation
  • Manage the development and maintenance of SOX end-to-end process flows; narratives; data flows and any other control documentation, as needed, for assigned business processes
  • Assess control deficiencies, as required, to ensure effective and efficient remediation
  • Manage the evaluation of 3rd party reliance in assigned business areas; Evaluate management's review of 3rd party auditor SOC1 reports
  • Assess and assist internal and external auditors with risk and control-related requests
  • Manage SOX business and system-related special projects as needed. (e.g., SOX-related training, implementation of SOX management systems; etc.)
Minimum Required
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in either External Audit; Internal Audit or being a member of a SOX team with a public company
  • Highly organized with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong collaborative and team-building skills
  • ERP system experience
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP; audit practices; accounting policies; information systems and risk management
  • Ability to organize and lead projects and meet deliverable timelines
Preferred
  • CPA, CIA, CISA
  • Big 4 or large regional firm
  • SAP SOX controls implementation
  • IT audit related to SOX
Must have's
  • Experience in Controls and compliance with SOX is very important
  • Business SOX experience and SAP experience
  • Expertise in the SOX field and Survey SOX
  • Help and Review in making proper Audit reports
  • Candidate must have an aptitude, reasoning, and data organization skills
  • Candidate must have a little bit of audit background, experience
  • Candidate must have strong experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Someone who is a self-motivator and self-starter
  • CPA or CIA Certification
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested
