Description: Job Title: Spec, Subcontracts Job Location: Texas Job Code: CS20233101-96438Job Schedule: 9/80L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Subcontracts Specialist to join our team. This position will be based in Texas. Position Overview:This person will contribute to the company’s success by being the subject matter expert with knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of project management and the ability to lead all aspects of the Subcontract acquisition process from proposal stage through Program award and execution. This acquisition process includes requirements definition, generation of Statements of Work, generation of Requests for Proposals, proposal evaluations, source selections, negotiations and definition, file documentation, ensuring compliance to all internal and Government FAR/DFAR/DPAS/CPSR Procurement Regulations, change management, invoice approvals, dispute resolution, and subcontract close-out.This role will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain Management and is responsible for drafting, issuing, and negotiating various contract vehicles, including RFPs, NDAs, Subcontracts, Teaming Agreements, Master Purchase and Service Agreements, amore and responsible for supplier selection process while understanding and mitigating risk associated with the project.Essential Responsibilities:Communicates with contacts inside and outside of Subcontracts department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.

Develop, maintain, and manage strategic relationships with suppliers to achieve Program, Customer, and Corporate goals for sales, orders, and profit.

Responsible for initiating corrective action with Suppliers when necessary.

Apply ingenuity and innovation to develop solutions to complex subcontract problems and identify areas for performance improvement and cost reduction.

Develop and maintain working relationships with cross-functional partners, to help influence and guide stakeholders, customers, and other external partners on Subcontract matters.

Identify process improvements and support implementation within department.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
