As a member of the Maintenance Publications and Engineering Team within the Integrated Operations Division, you will serve as a liaison between AA and maintenance manual providers for Maintenance Publications and our internal/external users.

Provides oversight of the day-to-day operation for the Maintenance Publications team.

Responsible for developing new applications with specific purposes to help resolve business needs.

Support existing system applications, including bug fixes, system enhancements, troubleshooting complex issues and identifying/implementing solutions.

Learn and understand business functions of the department and user groups.

Creates new ideas and processes for current applications to improve performance.

Communicates project status and roadblocks to the team.

Coordinates with software vendors and IT to test and deploy new applications within our publishing software tools.

Synchronize, test, and deliver new OEM/other data integrated with American Airlines customized data within digital publication software systems.

Provides technical support to Maintenance Publications staff.

Management and tracking of system issues using the vendor reporting system, JIRA.

All you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing or associated field or equivalent education/training

1-year PM experience; demonstrated project management skills

3+ years of related work experience

Experience delivering data solutions for, or within, a technical data environment

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

1 to 3 years’ experience working with markup languages (SGML/XML/HTML)

Experience with structured data tagging, parsing and data re-use

Troubleshooting and testing of digital publishing tools to include DTDs and style sheets is a plus.

Experience working with content management systems

Working knowledge of ATA100 and S1000D data specifications

Familiarity working with and editing PDF documents

Knowledgeable working with and editing different graphic formats

Source Code management

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills

Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Highly motivated individual with experience working independently and as part of a cross functional team.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
