Job Summary:The Speech Language Pathologist at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is an important member of the healthcare team assisting with the evaluation and treatment of patients with swallowing, cognitive and or communication deficits of functional and/or organic origin. The position will include treating primarily adults in an outpatient setting, with specific patient care responsibilities and treatment assignments depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience. Provide Evaluation

Provide a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients; develop & administer the plan of care consistent with area(s) of deficit; maintain appropriate records of activity and services provided.

Maintain Records

Initiate referrals and convey recommendations to the appropriate resource; maintain records of activity and services provided.

Participate in Meetings

Facilitate Program Development

Other duties as assigned

Required: None

Preferred: Experience with adult patient population

Education:

Required: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.

License and Certifications:

Certification or eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Licensure or eligible for Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation within 30 days of date of entry into job.
