- Minimum of 15 years of experience as a MS SQL Database Administrator
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manager or Director of DBAs
- Expert in MS SQL Server (2016-2008) feature sets to include OLTP, OLAP,
- Replication, Partitioning, Version Selection, Deployments, Back up Strategies.
- Experience in managing other database technologies: MongoDB, Hadoop, Oracle, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in High Volume Transaction Processing environments
- Payment Transaction industry experience preferred
- Proven experience motivating teams
- Experience working with and leading offshore contractor teams; as well as, teams dispersed around the globe.
- Direct department level management of onshore and offshore DBAs and Database Analysts for all aspects: personnel, tasking, mentoring
- Act as a first responder to incidents
- Oversee deployment schedules and operations related to databases
- Manage applications related or not related directly to databases
- Coordinate with IT leadership, departments and Business users in all operations
- Actively upgrade, patch, improve database technologies
- Participate in planning and execution of projects as part of an SDLC
- Oversee database maintenance for all environments; DEV, QC, UAT and Production
- Maintain statistics and reporting about SQL servers, databases, and department metrics
- Enterprise capacity planning
