This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an elite Agile team developing a world-class Enterprise Application for AT&T’s front-line employees.In this role, you will be responsible for the Data Modeling, ETL Architecture, and Development for a SQL Server-based Performance management system.

Preferred locations are Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; El Segundo, CA. Other locations will be considered.

Responsibilities:
  • 30% Architecture, 70% coding
  • Architect a data model and processes to make an application come to life based solely on wireframes
  • Translate functional screens designs into 3NF Erwin data models
  • Work with PowerBI designers to create data structures that support the tools needs
  • Independently analyze data needs of the application and architect ETL data flow
  • Based on Functional design, architect complete ERWIN application data model to support the application
  • Design and build a back-end application from end to end, including, complex data transformations inside the application with TSQL store procedures and SSIS packages
  • Work with Java and PowerBI developers to create the appropriate SQL Server stored procedures/macros necessary to retrieve/insert/update data that the Application GUI needs to display or alter
  • The front-end application is written in Java/JavaScript, so those skills would be very helpful but are not required
Experienced and Proven architecture skills and the ability to see the whole picture are critical. You should be able to think through an entire design to account for as many possible scenarios as possible. Often it is the designer/developer who will find critical business requirement assumption errors and will need to make suggestions on how to alter requirements or processes to make the application achieve the desired result. If you are someone who can think fast, quickly come up with solutions, and have strong analytical skills and the ability to perform troubleshooting, this is the role for you!

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience with SQL Server, TSQL, and SSIS
  • 3+ years experience in SQL Server Administration in an Azure environment
  • Experience with Erwin data modeling
  • 2+ years of advanced Unix Shell scripting
  • 3+ years experience with 3NF modeling
  • Experience designing complete applications from scratch
  • Experience maintaining/modifying existing ETL code
  • Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  • Able to learn quickly and independently
  • Able to work with little direction and self-motivated.
  • Ability to communicate in both written and verbal format clearly and concisely
  • SQL Server DBA skills are highly desired
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math preferred
