The Senior Accountant is responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is based in Frisco, Texas with a company in the Food & Food Processing field.Key responsibilities

Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

Partake in various department-wide initiatives

Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

Strong communication and social skills

BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

Solid understanding of Month-end Journal Entries

Expertise in month end closings

Financial statement preparation experience

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Skilled at time management

Skilled with ERP systems

Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

5+ years of overall general accounting experience

Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
