Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Houston, Texas. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health and transparency of our operations. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial statements and reports, reconciling accounts and ledgers, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.Responsibilities: Conduct account and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial integrity Manage general ledger and assist with monthly close processes Prepare and record journal entries relating to financial transactions Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting Ensure timely bank reconciliations to maintain financial transparency Use Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite for financial management and accounting tasks Analyze financial reports and identify discrepancies or trends that require attention Maintain accurate records and support audit processes Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and procedures. Requirements Must possess proven experience in the role of Sr. Accountant or similar financial role Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required Demonstrable knowledge of the General Ledger and Journal Entries is essential Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary for data analysis and presentation Must be capable of performing Month End Close activities accurately and timely Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for financial management is a must Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are required Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with various departments Must be able to work independently and also as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required Professional certification such as CPA or CMA would be an advantage.
