Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the construction industry, located in North Dallas, Texas. This role involves a variety of responsibilities including job costing, accounts payable, and cost accounting. The successful candidate will also be part of setting up new processes and will work closely with the VP of Finance. Responsibilities: Assist with pay applications and job costing analysis Oversee weekly AP check runs and perform reconciliations Conduct cost accounting operations Utilize Microsoft Excel to write formulas, perform V lookups, and create pivot tables Handle account analysis and journal entries Approve the AP check runs Assist with the month-end close process Use software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations Maintain and update general ledger as required. Requirements Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant within the Construction/Contractor industry Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations In-depth understanding of the General Ledger and Journal Entries Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Demonstrated experience in Month End Close procedures Proficiency in utilizing accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment detail oriented certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) would be advantageous.
