The job function involves managing accounts and financial transactions in the real estate industry. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be expected to handle tasks such as account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Responsibilities: Handle account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation to identify and resolve any discrepancies. Oversee bank reconciliations to confirm all transactions align with bank statements. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is up to date and accurate. Prepare journal entries, documenting business transactions in a timely manner. Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks and reports. Ensure the accurate and timely completion of month-end close procedures. Provide expertise in commercial real estate accounting practices and principles. Utilize the Yardi accounting system for property management and accounting tasks. Ensure compliance with US GAAP in all accounting and financial procedures.Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant or related field Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Solid understanding and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Experience with Month End Close procedures Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate is preferred Familiarity with Yardi software is a plus Understanding and knowledge of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
