Description We are looking for a Sr. Administrative Coordinator to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role is an opportunity to provide administrative support within a research-focused environment, aiding in the coordination and development of research projects. The role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, both internal and external.Responsibilities: Act as a liaison between the office of research, faculty, and funding agencies, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration. Assist in the coordination and development of research projects, working closely with other research entities and private businesses. Facilitate the funding process by assisting with writing funding proposals and coordinating related activities with the appropriate university administrative department. Identify and maintain research alliances with potential collaborative partners to formulate and implement specific research projects. Assist in the management of administrative tasks for the funding process functions, including grants and contracting process. Coordinate visits of local, state, national, and international visitors, and organize meetings/special events for external constituents. Identify technologies with high commercialization potential and develop strategies for their transfer into the industrial sector. Develop and implement marketing plans for specific technologies, including newsletters, website updates, and press releases. Provide administrative support for special projects at the discretion of the director. Utilize skills in Calendar Management, Communication, Grant Administration, Administrative Policy, Administrative Oversight, and Administrative Assistance, as well as PeopleSoft, to effectively carry out duties. Requirements Must have prior experience in a Senior Administrative Coordinator role or similar Demonstrable skills in Calendar Management Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal Experience in Grant Administration is necessary Proficiency in Administrative Policy creation and implementation Ability to provide Administrative Oversight on various projects Experience in offering Administrative Assistance to senior management Knowledge of PeopleSoft software is a must Candidates must be able to multitask and prioritize work effectively Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required Must have problem-solving abilities and be able to make decisions independently A degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred Must possess strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with various stakeholders.
