Sr. Automation Application Architect6 month Contract with potential for hireCoppell, Texas or Tampa, Florida IMMEDIATE new job opening to join our team and work for our client in their Dallas, Texas office or Tampa, Florida office. The role will be primarily remote with on-site work 2 days/week. This role is for a Sr. Automation Application Architect and will report to the Director of Business Intelligence and Integration. The Automation Architect is responsible for the architecture, design and development of automation frameworks and solutions for a wide variety of databases, data integration, business intelligence products such as Oracle, Informatica, SQL Server, DynamoDB, Aurora, Power BI etc. using a combination of automation/RPA tools, web services, APIs and programming languages. Seeking strong technical leadership experience as well as excellent communication and the ability to work with both on and offshore teams.Principal Responsibilities:

Responsible for overall automation framework design and enhancement
Architect, design and develop end to end automated solutions and frameworks for a wide variety of databases, data integration, business intelligence products, processes and capabilities
Identify manual processes that can be automated
Implement automation systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing
Provide technical leadership and direction to automation developers and engineers
Provide out of the box and creative thinking to solve complex problems
Work closely with platform and application engineers to develop new and enhance existing automation solutions
Work closely with Infrastructure teams during implementation of solutions
Participate in testing and quality assurance aspects of projects
Automation source code management using BitBucket
Integrate automated test with CI/CD pipeline
Present and demo automation solutions to technical and business stakeholders
Leverage skills to develop proof of concepts for projects and when needed utilize programming and scripting techniques for complex situations

Required Experience:

Strong software architecture, design and development experience
Strong programming experience with Java and python
Strong API and Web Services integration and development experience
Experience with Bitbucket, Jenkins, Git and CI/CD pipeline
Experience with automation tools such as CHEF, Terraform, HPOO or VRA/VRO are additional benefits
Prior infrastructure and AWS experience
Experience with at least one RDBMS such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase
Knowledge of and experience with basic aspects of Linux system administration
Excellent technical leadership, communication and presentation skills.
Creative problem solver with excellent approach to creating innovative solutions
Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing end to end automation solutions
Minimum of 7 years’ IT experience in software development and/or engineering

Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
