SummaryThe Senior IT Functional Consultant is responsible for assisting in the development, planning, and implementation of enhancements, upgrades and break fix changes to SAP and other IT systems such as Infor plant maintenance.

DescriptionThe main responsibilities are:

  • Architects (analyze requirements, design and prototype solutions) the company's business systems that enable the business processes
  • Responsible for business process analysis, design of system configuration, design of testing and implementation of business systems to support functional goals, objectives and needs of the business area supported
  • Architects "best-value" solutions that meet business needs while adhering to simplicity, business policies and procedures and leveraging current global investments and resources
  • Develops knowledge of the supported business systems.
  • Provides as-needed (post helpdesk or secondary) production and problem resolution support for systems in assigned area.
  • Helps evaluate the business needs and prioritize them in the IT portfolio.
  • Writes descriptions of user needs, functional specs and test cases.
  • Assist with data conversion/migration
  • Adheres to deadlines and schedules as assigned from enterprise-wide projects.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Mentors and assists other functional consultants
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

ProfileThe main qualifications are:

  • 5 to 7 years of SAP experience (non-configuration)
  • Practical experience dealing with IT customers
  • Cross-component integration knowledge
