We are looking for a Full-time contractor or employee for a Sr. C# Developer.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain a large, custom web application with strong knowledge of ASP.NET MVC with C#, Web API, and other Microsoft technologies.
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements.
- Provide estimation of effort required to execute development of application enhancements.
- Refactor and improve code to meet Agency security standards for readability, scale, re-usability, and performance.
- Write and perform unit tests using MS Test to achieve maximum code coverage.
- Build and promote the code to Development and Test servers.
- Update the progress and status of tasks in Jira/Bitbucket to be tracked by management.
- Perform peer code reviews on the effectiveness, code quality and functional validity of the code written by fellow team members.
- Document implementation notes to assist code reviewers, testing team and fellow team members for future maintenance.
- Demonstrate the new software capabilities to the business, end users and all stakeholders.
- Ability to learn quickly, think creatively, and solve complex problems.
- Identify potential application and design impediments, then devise ways to correct those issues.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases.
- Communicate effectively with management team as well as internal/external application users.
- Work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Jira & Bitbucket or similar applications.
- Experience developing the Intervention, Stage and Activity Manager (ISAM) application
- Experience developing, enhancing, and maintaining an application in the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) environment; specifically the Intervention, Stage and Activity Manager (ISAM) application which is used by campuses and districts in improvement.
